UAT Game Studios students and alumni from Monster Vault Entertainment Studio will demo a VR snowball fight game called Chill Out, at Arizona Tech Council’s Tech the Hall’s After5 Tech Mixer. Chill Out is a multiplayer virtual reality game for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive developed by Monster Vault Entertainment. Up to 6 players can engage in a free-form snowball fight set in a snowy Holiday themed arena. Chill Out is unprecedented, as it makes use of Google’s cloud computing platform SpatialOS. Winners of the UAT Programming Jam

Winners of UAT Programming Jam won raspberry pis

UAT held a Raspberry Pi contest for all students. Each student presented their project and gave a demonstration of them. The winners were surprised with not only Raspberry Pi prizes but raspberry pies themselves. The projects were all innovative and very different. First prize won for a network diagnostic application. Second prize won for a robot adaptation for a robot to interface with a human Third prize won a music playlist program that would also add music from that genre by a local artist who just happened to be the programmer of this project.
