Future You University Returns to UAT

Future You University




Future You University (Future You U) is an event designed to introduce University life experiences to female middle school STEM students.   To be chosen to participate, these girls had to be active in a STEM group, be recommended by their STEM Program champion and principal, desire a STEM related career, and write an essay on why they should be considered. The event takes place over a long weekend at the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe. ‘Props Through 3D Printing’ Panel at WonderCon featuring 3D Printed Starlord Mask

UAT Maker Lab Technician Mike Syfritt is headed to WonderCon to host a panel called “Props Through 3D Printing,” on April 1, at Anaheim Convention Center, a topic which stems from his career as a custom prop fabricator. At WonderCon, he will show off one of the largest 3d print jobs that UAT has seen on campus, a Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Starlord Mask which was created on a Zortrax M 300 and took over 40 hours to complete.
