UAT to Award Scholarship to the Great Arizona Code Challenge Winner

Great Arizona Code Challenge

The Great Arizona <Code> Challenge is happening Friday and Saturday at the Infusionsoft headquarters in Chandler. This 36-hour hackathon invites the best young programmers (3rd to 8th grade) from across the state to compete for prizes. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend. The MIT Enterprise Forum of Phoenix and the Prenda Code Club host the Great Arizona <Code> Challenge. University of Advancing Technology (UAT) is also a partner of the event promoting STEAM education. UAT will offer the winning individual or team a half-tuition scholarship as a grand prize. Wow! I just returned from Russia and 10,000 people attended the Geek Picnic Festival! I enjoyed the workshops in makerspace, robotics and also wearable computing – they were great! I met wonderful people and many students interested in the future of science and technology – artificial life, AGI, uploading, brain systems, and more.
